ASCII

BASE

Convert from any base to any other base between 2 and 36.

BSORT

General-purpose text sorting program.

CAL

Command-line Calculator (it can be used manually or with predefined "script files" from standard input).

CHANGE

Change single characters or strings inside text/binary files. Good for patching binary images (cannot alter size).

CMD

Find which command will execute (searches path the same way DOS does).

COL

Extract columns from text files to create new files. You can also add your own text in between.

CRC

Calculates the same CRC as that used by ZIP, ARJ, etc.

EDITFONT

Easily edit 8x8, 8x14, or 8x16 fonts and automatically create assembler include file with each character commented with actual shape.  Updated to include both Win32 and Linux versions.  For ASM5, ASM8, ASM11, and many third-party assemblers, or other tools.

EXBIN

Convert an executable (S19) file to a binary image.  Option to make it an HC11 boot image and create plain DOS loader batch file.  Updated for support 24-bit address (S2 records).

EXTS

Shows sizes or counts of all selected files by extension. Useful to quickly determine the contents of a directory/disk.

FASM

Format any 68HC11 assembly language source for ASM11.  Make sure source assembles before running thru this program (i.e., first convert syntax from other assembler). Just type FASM PROGNAME to produce PROGNAME.FRM from PROGNAME.ASM.

FILLER

Use to dynamically fill in simple text forms from the command line.

FREQ

Get the character frequencies of any file (text or binary).

G___

Globally repeat a command.  Adds wildcard capability to commands that don’t have it by birth.

M___

A MORE command replacement.  Paged more, multiple files, auto-adjusts to any screen size, multiple search targets, more.

MCD

MkDir/ChDir in a single step. Useful for installation batch files or similar uses.

MCOPY

Copies files from any source path (optionally including subdirectories) to a *single* destination.

PAS

Standard Pascal language syntax checker. NOT a compiler. Useful to check source compatibility.

PATCHER

Give it old and new binaries and it will create a Turbo Pascal source program to patch from old to new.

RAND

Randomise the order of lines of a text file. Can also be used before using BSORT to speed it up.

RANDPASS

Give it a length and it will show you candidate hard-to-guess passwords to choose from.

SIZE

Tells you the size in bytes KB and MB for a directory (and its sub-trees).

LF

Converts a text file between CRLF (Windows), LF (Linux), and CR (Mac).

LUA2EXE

Converts Lua source program to C for Lua and then UPX-compresses the stand-alone executable generated by TinyC compiler (TinyC should be installed at c:\tcc).

WHICH

Attempts to find the specified executable by following each path in the order it appears inside the PATH system variable, and by using each extension in the order such extension appears inside the PATHEXT system variable until a match is found. The first match is then displayed.

T___

Shows today's date or any date. Get distance between dates and optionally show notes for any date.

TERM

Small and simple terminal program.  Useful to setup modems or talk to any RS-232 device.  TERM -? for help

Format Turbo Pascal source code keywords.

TPERR

Displays the corresponding messages of Turbo Pascal 5.5/6.0 Error codes.

WC

Word Count. It actually shows character, word, and line counts. DOS Greek capable.

Where is that file you're looking for? From the time DIR didn't have a /S option.

ZAPDIR

Remove a directory tree completely. VERY DANGEROUS. USE WITH CARE.  IT DOES NOT ASK FOR CONFIRMATION EXCEPT WHEN DELETING ROOT DIRECTORY.
